I am such a parent.... was watching Planes with my daughter and now I have the urge to build a F4 Corsair.

Something to consider is that Zvezda now makes kits of some of the aircraft (the main characters) from the Planes movie (also from Cars as well).

Maybe pick up a couple of them, and enjoy the build with your daughter. They are cheap enough as well, brought some in for a customer....paltry sum of $8 each. Cheap entertainment with your kids!

When she gets a little older I will definitely try on some snap kits. She's 4 so her desire to stay in one spot for longer than a minute just isn't there.

The "Planes" and "Cars" kits from Zvezda are snap kits, but they do say 7+ on them, although I usually take the age thing with a grain of salt. Likely because they are 1/100 scale and have small pieces in them, IE: choking hazzard for smaller kids that like to put things in their mouths they aren't supposed to!
