Hey guys. Here is my latest build. I do not see to many of these being made, and when researching for the actual vehicle online there was not too much out there for reference material, so I changed a few areas to my liking. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures!
Painted with Tamiya TS-26 Pure White, but used TS-65 Pearl Clear to give it a little more character.
Instead of painting the roof are silver and using red decals, which I though looked very boring and for some reason did not flow well with the rest of the colors, I painted center portion was painted with Alclad Chrome, then sprayed a couple of layers of clear red. I loved the way it came out but this is a tricky process. The surface has to be absolutely smooth, and masking off alclad is very hard since it will take off some of the color, which happened to me. I ended up redoing all chrome areas but was unable to fix some of the imperfections.
One of my favorite parts of the kit were the wheels. Although I like the wheel covers that came with the car, I also liked the detail of the Volk Racing Mesh rims a lot. So I displayed one side with the covers on and one side with the covers off.
With my luck, I lost the valve cover on the engine, so I will not display without the hatch off.
Enjoy everyone!
