The RM Cylon Base Star in a single day

All right, folks,
After working on my MkII that I plan on taking to WOnderfest, and refurbishing my MkVIIE for the same purpose, I decided to do something fairly quick and easy....and a more or less "dirty" build.
Today, I pulled out the 30th Ann. Cylon Base Star with the intention of doing her in a day or two at most.

Got her done in a day.

A base coat of flat black primer for basic shadow work

Then, a coat of primer grey and a layer of semi-gloss to finish her off

Thank you for posting this, I have this model and I didn't want to open the box to see what was inside until I was ready to build. The photos took away my curiosity just fine. One of these days I will get around to this one. I think I will wait until I get a hold of a classic Battlestar Galaticia. I keep watching for one on Ebay, and will find one soon.

As to the Base Star, watch that middle ring, getting the parts to fit can be a little tricky

That is a very nice kit and quick build also, What genre is it battle star gallactica , star wars? What ever it is its dope. I will be keeping an eye on this one cant wait to see it painted, nice work.
