Hello everyone!!!

I need to get this out straight away....It's Chris's fault!!!! ;D

OK, with that said onto what he is actually being blamed for!! "Where there is a will, there is always a way".!! I think this statement helps to personify this project. Last night whilst trolling on FB...ummm, Mr. S, tagged me in a great picture of an old abandoned truck on some farm, somewhere.

So, the inspiration:

I think you are beginning to see the allure! Kind of ties in with the title, eh?

I have seen plenty of just about all sorts of things growing out of abandoned items but this one is rather interesting to me. Oddly enough, after a bit of searching last night, I came up with another aid to the project.....

Now at first glance I thought this was the same truck in both pictures...and very well could be I suppose, however the tree is different the surrounding are different (yes I know it's a different direction..LOL) but the power line is present and other qualities are strikingly the same. Same or not? Maybe the first could be a good photoshop of the second......who knows? Not really concerned as it really doesn't matter in the larger scope of thing....LOL!!! If it is not the same truck, I would almost venture to guess there is some strange Dodge Disease out there!!

With all that blah blah out of the way, I knew I had something similar in the stash.

The Kit:

Oh yeah, it is that old! A friend gave this to me a while back and figured I would end up doing something with it and/or it's parts.....it will work!! The truck in the picture appear to be of the Dodge variety and of course the kit is a Chevy....again.....LOL, not really concerned!!!!

Here is a couple of quick views of what I will be working with or not, judging from the pictures, since there is not a whole lot left of the trucks.

Yes, a lovely shade of dark red plastic, almost maroon!! So there will be a considerable amount of.........body work to be done and then I will also have an appropriate base to construct along the way. I am not looking to replicate either of these photos to a "T"...LOL, but will do my best to keep the basic idea of it all!!

As always, I thank you for stopping by and keeping me company for a while!!

Oh yeah brother, I'm so looking forward to this one.

Very neat pic of #2. Got any 1/25 cows to put on the base with it? LOL

Oh yeah, It really is CS's fault, I seen the evidence. ;D

Hey BJ!!! Didn't I just type to you? LOL!!! Nothing on the cow front as of yet!!! But, it is time to start getting nasty with this bugger!!! ;D

Ha ha I'm with Spud on this one and will actually start looking for the Cows ha ha. There for a minute I got a bit scared thinking you were in my neighbors yard the other evening because that looks like something you'd find in my neck of the woods LOL.

Looks to me like it is the same truck and tree, just the first picture it is photoshopped in, as the background doesn't look realstic like it does in the 2nd picture.

Either way, makes for a good subject to build!!

Wow - what a great photo! Should be a super fun project! I'lll be watching this. ;D

Spud - always a pleasure to have you hanging out!!

H75 - LOL...not the first time I have heard that, seems to be a lot of yards filled with old timers!!

Gav - Thanks for stopping by. Alaways a good time when I get to wreck something! I can only guess that the kit is late 80's early 90's. Mono actually had a remake at one point from what I seen!

Scott - Thanks for hanging!!! Yeah, looked a bit PSed to me too. Someone might have take some artistic license but maybe to my gain!!

D57 - Thanks for stopping by and for the support!!!

MJ - FB...yeah, that is where CHRIS started it all!! SG & BJ didn't help matters!! Had to set aside a pefectly good T-34 I was working on because of this!!!

Hitting the chopping block tonight and see what I can destr......make!! ::) I am just dying to paint and I have a new AK Rust Paint set just burning a whole in the bench, not to mention some of the Armor Farm goodness I picked up at AMPS East to throw at it!!! ;D ;D ;D

Wicked project T, right up my street ill definitely be watching your progress on this!
Wish id found the picture myself!

BJ - :-X

Leighbo - Thank you sir!! Maybe you can get lucky too and have Chris call you out on something!! :p......... ;D

Yup, I like that. Really shows the power of nature. In this case nature won over man. Gotta love it when trees grow in the least expected places. I think that is a right cool truck for this project.

Hey Matt!!!! Thank you!!! I get to work on the tree skills again this time!! ::)

Nice one Chris!! LOL!!! Poof tinckle, it's done!!!....Not! ;D

OK, got to play a bit with some sharp toys and always seem to make a mess....

And how she sits waiting for me to work the so-called suspension...or what ever will possibly be seen....

No, the black is not any weird pre-shading, it is the remnants of the lighter I used to bend, melt and wreck some things!!!

A little more touch-up chopping and weed through some parts I will be actually adding!! Moving forward!!!

Thanks for stopping in to have a LQQY !!

Mmmmmm the smell of burnt plastic :-X Allready like what I see T! (that rhymed)
