Hello everyone!!!
I need to get this out straight away....It's Chris's fault!!!! ;D
OK, with that said onto what he is actually being blamed for!! "Where there is a will, there is always a way".!! I think this statement helps to personify this project. Last night whilst trolling on FB...ummm, Mr. S, tagged me in a great picture of an old abandoned truck on some farm, somewhere.
So, the inspiration:

I think you are beginning to see the allure! Kind of ties in with the title, eh?
I have seen plenty of just about all sorts of things growing out of abandoned items but this one is rather interesting to me. Oddly enough, after a bit of searching last night, I came up with another aid to the project.....

Now at first glance I thought this was the same truck in both pictures...and very well could be I suppose, however the tree is different the surrounding are different (yes I know it's a different direction..LOL) but the power line is present and other qualities are strikingly the same. Same or not? Maybe the first could be a good photoshop of the second......who knows? Not really concerned as it really doesn't matter in the larger scope of thing....LOL!!! If it is not the same truck, I would almost venture to guess there is some strange Dodge Disease out there!!
With all that blah blah out of the way, I knew I had something similar in the stash.
The Kit:
Oh yeah, it is that old! A friend gave this to me a while back and figured I would end up doing something with it and/or it's parts.....it will work!! The truck in the picture appear to be of the Dodge variety and of course the kit is a Chevy....again.....LOL, not really concerned!!!!
Here is a couple of quick views of what I will be working with or not, judging from the pictures, since there is not a whole lot left of the trucks.
Yes, a lovely shade of dark red plastic, almost maroon!! So there will be a considerable amount of.........body work to be done and then I will also have an appropriate base to construct along the way. I am not looking to replicate either of these photos to a "T"...LOL, but will do my best to keep the basic idea of it all!!
As always, I thank you for stopping by and keeping me company for a while!!
