Good Day Folks!

Here we have another project I am working on, it's my first attempt at building in the armor genre. I am looking forward to this experience, as I have an idea for a M*A*S*H diorama in the future. I am going to give it my best attempt, to only work on this until it's finished.

Cool. Great stuff, your first armor project. Have fun and don't get bogged down in the details.

. Wow buddy! Now that's an oldie! It has been a while since I've seen one of these.

Older Tamiya kits are very fun to build! The low parts count makes this a breeze compared to newer kits that never ends.... Looking forward to your WiP pictures....

Best of luck with your project!

Norm.

Good Day Folks!

It was said that, these old Tamiya kits, fall together like Lego's. They weren't kidding, I am having a blast with this build. I just finished the axles and wheel assembly.

Excellent Debut my friend ! Looking forward to your next Update !

Just make sure you take care of any heavy sink marks or Ejector pin marks on the INSIDE of the Frame if ANY?
I don't recall Tamiya Using Slide Mold technology back then.... so there might be a few .... hidden here and there... that beg for your intervention !

Take you time, we are with you on this! Should be interesting to see this old gal fall together as your progress!!! Like I said, it has been a while since I last saw someone BUILD one !

Take Care !

Norm.

Wow Serious Vignetting on yer lens there!!

Great start Steven, as norm has said watch out for the pesky sink holes but knowing tamiya they are well hidden.

Good Day Folks!

The Half Track is coming along nicely, I am now addicted to armor ;D Thanks all for the kind comments.

Good Day Folks!

Just another quick update, ran into a few snags, however I actually enjoy the challenge. I need to pickup some primer, which is the next major step. I still need to do some filler work on the body.

Good Day Folks!

I finally applied the primer today (pics coming soon) - I also uploaded a video to my YouTube channel, http://youtu.be/5fCEblnj_X8?hd=1 of my progress. My LHS, only had OD-2 in the spray can, how much different is that color, vs the regular OD? Could I get away with using a brush for the top cop of OD? Can't wait until I have enough money to place an order for some AK or K4 streak, grime and washes set.

Howdy Wig-Wag ! :)

Oh, Tamiyas Halftrack, I suppose that a vintage one ! A classic one !!

Look at the sprues, Wig, from wich year is the mould of the kit??

(I currently have in my hands a Tamiya Sdkfz 7/2 -wich I´m building as I´m waiting to be able to get my hands back over the Marines M4A2 [DRAGON] wich is my prioritary project- , and the kit is dated from 1.989 BUT the lower part of the Sdkfz 7 comes from the original Tamiya´s mould... 1.972 )

Go on, Wig !!!

Very cool, thanks for pointing out the year stamp on the sprue. This particular run is from 1978, never noticed that.

Good Day Folks!

The build is coming along, there have been a few bumps, however, thanks to the folks here I was able to sort it out.
