Hood doesn't look like it is sitting too bad....if you wanted to adjust it, and you thought you could get the carbs off without too much trouble or damage, could just run a sanding stick across the top and bottom of the carbs, then re-assemble. Not off by much, so wouldn't need to take too much off.

I probably wouldn't have noticed it in the video if you hadn't mentioned it, so it isn't that bad.

Turned out well despite the problem with the paint. Weird though, with the satin varnish, the body almost looks like it has a very dark greenish tinge to it. Probably just the lighting in the photos, either way, looks cool!

Cool Beanzzzzz ;D Awesome finish Scott .

Chris.

Turned out nice Scott. The engine looks even better with the body on. And the satin finish is fine. For the last decade flat and satin black has been in for hot rodders and the like. I remember seeing a satin black mint 69 Camaro at the local drag strip a couple years back,..and a Nova and a Honda...

So now you have all that first time shiny car business out of the way, the next one will go much smoother for you. :D

Nice ride, Scott! I have a model building club at school and on of my students finished his very first model, a '73 Mustang with an gloss black finish and a red hood accent. Eerily similar to your paint job. I'll see if he will let me post a pic.

She turned out really good, Scott.
Liking the detailing you added to the engine and engine compartment
