Hi all.
Been a while since I last posted but thought i'd share my current project and ask for some advice to boot!
I know this isn't really what this forum normally has but it is a tank and so I figured its better here than in the sci-fi forum but if needed feel free to move it.
For those that dont know the model its a Land Raider for my new Word Bearers army. This is only like the second tank i've ever done, i did a Sherman a few years back and had great fun doing it and learned so much and this has pushed me as well into new things to try. So far i've tried out pin washes with mixed results and blood effects just for the laugh.
This is going to be a gaming model so it will be being handled on a regular basis so I havent gone into as much details as i would on a display piece. So far i have painted up the inside, yes i know it'll never be seen but it just didnt seem right to leave it bear! ;-)

Also I have nearly finished the outside too...

My question is, i want to use pigments to dirty up the tracks, make some mud as well possibly and soot up the engines.....is this worth doing, i've not really used pigments before and have no idea how well they'll stand up to being handled a lot?
Any tips or advice is welcomed.
Have a good weekend.
