So I have a nephew with a resin printer. I don't really want to take time to do research and CAD drawing to create parts, nor always pay for 3rd party aftermarket resin parts. Is there open source/free online catalogs for scale model part print files people have created for downloading? Similar to people who create Revit family files to share on sites like BIMsmith, BIMobject, etc? And what file format should I be looking for?
Thanks

thank you, close to what I was looking for, but wish it was more scale model specific. Looked up aircraft engines and it had some good looking radials but nothing on what if any kits they were for, or scale. And they still wanted money. I guess it proves nothing <you want> is free LOL. Interesting to see what happens to the out of country after market parts cost with new tariffs. Seems like a lot coming out of eastern europe.

There are free things on there, but the idea behind the site is to sell your designs without needing to actually produce them yourself :) One of the good things about getting the files, too, is that you can print things out at a different scale than originally intended — though you don't want to go up or down by too much, I would think, to prevent details becoming too coarse or too fine.
