A Blast From the Past

I found this in a box, and this Kmart glue is still good! This was my uncle's glue, he's the one who got my first model – Don Purdome's funny car back in about 1973 or so.

Good ole Kmart .

Mustard oil to prevent sniffing the stuff , evidently . ( did that work ? my guess is nope )
I had to look up why that would be in there , and in the process I read , " It is also used in fire alarms for the deaf. "
what in the how ?

Makes me think of that WW I nightmare called Mustard Gas. But oh the pre wallyworld days of Kmart blue light specials and Huffy bicycles with banana seats. There was a point every Kmart had one of those giant slides in the parking lot that you slid down on what seemed like a potato sack. I can also remember them having a diner on one end of the store at one point. Oh the days.

My dad's father was mustard gassed several times in the trenches .
He was Lewis machinegunner .
They told him he couldn't smoke anymore so he only smoked 2 packs a day .

We laugh, but keepsakes like these are priceless.

Witness to a mostly forgotten time, mementos of special people who made us who we are.

I have a few things from family - LPs, tools, books and handcrafted artifacts from a time when that was the norm, not a youtube channel.

Besides the glue, I'm quite certain that tube has many stories and reminiscences that have stuck with you all these years.
