A whole new lifestyle / career path for Barbie!pink tank, spitfire, land rover and bike
Got most of the rear bike assembled. Little bit of touching in to do plus a big hole in the exhaust. I know it won't be seen with the side cowling on but it bothers me so I'm going to fill it. PanthermanMade a start this weekend. Went for the outrageous pink. Pantherman

If you're going pink then it has to be outrageously over the top. As Barley said, very Barbie Bike !!!!!!! My girl's would have loved it back in the day. PanthermanWow. That is PINK!! I like it
Many thanks, think I'm starting to get the hang of it. PanthermanThe good progress continues. That chain looks like the real deal and some good work went into it.
The beauty of the Tamiya kits are they kinda fall into place, especially the newer bike kit's. I say give it a go. PanthermanGood job Panther man. Those bikes look really fiddly. Small parts and such. If you have fat sausage fingers and shake a little bit could you still build this?
Okay. Cool! Now do you shake the Box kind of soft or do you give it a vigorous Shake to, voila, build it?The beauty of the Tamiya kits are they kinda fall into place, especially the newer bike kit's. I say give it a go. Pantherman
Kinda like a shake and bake.... definitely worth a go and loads of helpful members to help along the way.Okay. Cool! Now do you shake the Box kind of soft or do you give it a vigorous Shake to, voila, build it?![]()
Okay you talked me into it. I've never built a motorcycle and I was wanting a break from World War II airplanes. Finishing up the zero. Just put details on and sprayed a coat of clear now I'm ready for some wash and weathering and throw the landing gear on. Call it done. I'll head to Andy's in a day or two. I never have ordered my model kits. I've always gone to the Hobby Store and see what they got and choose from their selection. Just a little thing I have about shopping local business. It's good for the economy and it's good for me. I could spend hours in Andy's, and that's just looking at his paint selections. So in other words if I need a model I go and look and if something catches my eye and if I can afford it. I'm getting it. I've been having my eye on that Tamia 132nd Corsair. Oh my God I could spend hundreds on that. And then thousands on a divorce.Kinda like a shake and bake.... definitely worth a go and loads of helpful members to help along the way.
Although I like to get the build right on most of the bike's I've done, sometimes you just got build it how you want. If that little bit that fits somewhere out of sight when the cowling goes on, does it really matter?
Only problem that I have found is if any of the decals need applying around curved parts, there a real pain in the ass. I decided to just paint the decal colour on my latest bike and just cut the number's out of the decals and apply them separately.
The red Ducati was a great build, I would suggest that for a first bike. Pantherman
