That's neat! Where did you get that Death Star tower?
It came with the kit! These Bandai kits all have stands. This one is more elaborate than most.

Yeah, the tower makes up for the size of the A-Wing, which is still actually bigger than it should be. It justifies keeping the same box size and price amount as the other kits.

The XWing has an extra tile, too. It's the thermal exhaust port from the Death Star. The couple of extra tiles these kita have lets you arrange more ships close together in a single scene.

And so is the styrene from the new MPC repops that Round2 is offering! I partially built a Schwinn Continental model that had some parts that didn't fit well and when I drilled holes for the brake levers the handlebar broke in half at that spot!
