I have decided it would be good to build a base that I can display and photo various tank builds. Not very experienced in this so would welcome any help, advice or criticism you have to offer.
I have posted photos of the build progress and where I'm at now.
Working on some stone wall for the right hand side but after several attempts at various things it's not going well.
The background picture is just a temporary one until I can print a higher quality one.

Is that going to be wide enough for you ?
That's the one thing I always run into when photographing models from various angles -- the background not being expansive enough .
I know you have limited space but it might be better to make that as it's own little photo booth type of thing so you can have more control on the lighting .
Make it without a lid , so you can easily adjust the lighting of the subject , and either the whole thing wider or the background concave so it is continuous regardless of which way the camera is pointing .
You might consider a base and background that will accommodate tanks in different theaters of operation ,,, maybe a more generic base and you can change out the backgrounds ,,, like for desert , snow , jungle etc .

Just my opinion on the matter !

Thanks for the info, already thinking about version 2 as I found alot of your problems when doing the pic's.
Making a purpose made lidless box type setup would be better. What base do you think would work with both desert and snow?

Ha ha , I don't know with desert and snow .
Might need to wait and see what you build next and develop more bases on the way !!
