A little further along. Mixed some filler and paint for the base coat, once on sprayed with water and smoothed out, added some tracks and the winter lady. Just got to wait now until it sets.I thought I was finished but have decided to sit the winter lady on a little base. It's a distraction build while the tiger build is setting/drying.

Got the first covering of snow done but it feels like I'm missing something, any suggestions.A little further along. Mixed some filler and paint for the base coat, once on sprayed with water and smoothed out, added some tracks and the winter lady. Just got to wait now until it sets.

Thanks for the suggestions. Food for thought and I'm hungry!!Mate, a dead tree in the right back corner would really set it off and the snow needs to look thicker in my opinion and in doing that, don't forget to deepen the track where the tank has passed. Just my thoughts.

I have never made trees before so I scrounged some pipe cleaners from my daughter's xmas box, mixed up a bark and applied. It's looking ok but will do a bit of fine filling and painting in a couple of days when it's completely set.Mate, a dead tree in the right back corner would really set it off and the snow needs to look thicker in my opinion and in doing that, don't forget to deepen the track where the tank has passed. Well mate, you are taking my tip to a new level. I figured you might just find a piece of dead tree root or something similar. I didn't expect you to actually manufacture a dead tree from scratch, but full credit to you my friend. That's an interesting image but no, she's a non smoker. She found these and made them look like candy canes for her tree.Well mate, you are taking my tip to a new level. So your daughter smokes a pipe?

I decided that the first tree would be to big for this small diorama so have made version 2. Just got to add it to the base and wait for it to snow!I have never made trees before so I scrounged some pipe cleaners from my daughter's xmas box, mixed up a bark and applied. I hope it's going to snow soon and I will post some photos. For a first attempt my friend that is pretty impressive. I have seen guys make trees with strands of thin wire wound together but not pipe cleaners. I think you will be happy with the visual impact your tree will make with the tank.

Well, it's been snowing this evening and here is the finished "winter lady"I hope it's going to snow soon and I will post some photos.

Thanks, I thought if it's freezing and snowing the crew are inside plus it means I get to keep them for something bigger. Also they are not really dressed for the occasion !!!Bravo mate. Looks great and the tree only adds to it in my opinion. You have to have something with a bit of height on your base not only to give it some interest but also to balance the scene. I take no figures???
