Hey guys, it's been a while, wishing you all the best wishes for the new year!
I'd like to share this build of the APC from the Aliens movie. I found a nice technique to make something out of scratch. I found a 3d model of the APC and then split the body of the vehicle in several parts and opened them in Pepakura software (free with limitations). This software will take a 3d model and turn it into a printable paper template. Which I transfered to aluminium and cut out. The detailed parts of the model I simply 3d printed such as the guns. I then painted and weathered it and added some led lighting. Allthough I had some problems connecting parts (rivets, glue, screws) it was a lot of fun to build this one and I will be using this technique for future projects.
