Pink is so yesterday. Red is today !!

This model has been a challenge for me. I am doing a lot of trial and error. I kind of like the look of the 3rd wing, the one connected to the fuselage. I sprayed it with Vallejo satin which looked like a flat matte coat. So, I tried the gloss which turned out to look satin. I might splotch it with Inktensity black for some glossy areas. I am going to try a blue and tan wash sprayed through the stencil first.

I want to achieve a canvas look and being black or anything other than a neutral color linen I find to achieve the look quite a challenge. I'm not looking for perfection as this is my first ever build like this.

For the top wing I sprayed with the Inktensity gloss black. Today I sprayed a light dust coating of a light blue (I can't remember the name of the color off hand) then I'll try some different techniques.

Is any of us trying for a canvas look?

I hadn't really thought about the canvas look for the wings until you mentioned it. I may do some research on this and maybe have a go. Pantherman
