Doing a French Hedgerows diorama this year trying to have it done by county fair season. Does anyone know of anything else i can enter it in around the Utah-Southern Idaho area?
Here are some pictures. A lot of the techniques im using are a first time for me. I think if i did something similar again i would use floral foam for the shaping of the terrain and that would have saved me some time and weight. I however am very happy with how its coming along. This is only my 2nd diorama so if any of you experts have any input let me know. I would love some feedback to help me get better.

Right now im building trees to go over top of the hedge. I'm going to try and make it so my tank is going through and over them from the dirt road side and then i have a few US army ranger figures that im going to have on the other side of the hedge. And i will have some set up with a bazooka about to take a shot at the underside of the panther as its cresting over the hedge. Heres a few more photos. Ive got about 1/3 of the trees done id say, still got a lot to go.

Looking good. Pantherman

Looks good!
For your next diorama, consider using 2" thick EXTRUDED foam insulation board. That should be plenty strong enough as a base. It's either pink, blue, or green depending on the manufacturer. It's also much stronger than floral foam. You can get it at most home centers, such as HomeDepot, Menards, or Lowes.
You want to stay far away from the white bead-board foam! That stuff has very little strength, and it's a MESS trying to work with it!

Yes, it was a mess lol. I ended up just using a ton of mud/sugar/glue mix to try and make up for my error. Thanks for the tip! I will keep an eye out next time i am down there!

Updated pictures
I'm pretty happy with the diorama, my figure game is not the best. I'm pretty happy with the panther so far. I've mixed the mud pigment with a high gloss to make it look like a wet mud and splashed it on the armor a little bit where I thought it needed it. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
