Alrighty then. Well shit. Looks like my man got shot. And also looks like our team was the better shot.. so this kit has lots of sub assemblies and what not so I've been spending a day or two sanding and building and went out this morning for a spraying session. I got to spray out back because that's where my compressor is. It's also where my wife told me I'm going to paint from now on. Not in the house, she says. You can brush your models in the house all you want no spray. And of course I replied with, three bagfuls yesm. Today everything is sprayed with xf67 natal green, khaki drab and dark green. So everything I'm doing is all the parts for up to step 20 in the instructions. There's a total of 39 steps and believe me there's a lot to do. This is the kit for you if you like lots of parts.

Thanks Mr P. I'm still working on touching them up here and there and I'm definitely not satisfied with the eyes. But it's a work in progress and what I hate is I take a picture and send it off so everyone can look at it and when I look at it it's full of damn dog hairs.

Come on now JJ. You are probably a very good painter it's just that you critique your own work too much.
Right now just working on all the tedious little things that attach to the cab and the tractor. When I first painted the bulletproof windows? I didn't realize that with the window open you know swung down, it shows the ejection marks. Bummer. So hopefully I got rid of those but I see a couple so I'm going to have to make that a muddy spot!. You guys got me into that injection Mark thing. Ever since I joined you guys have taught me a lot. And I think I might go as far as rolling out epoxy putty into a very thin line so I can redo some of the weld seams on here. But here's this couple more pictures next up is the winch assembly and hoist and then I can get going on the trailer.
Thanks kevin. I got 10 more to do, want to help? Actually I wanted to say that the two front tires don't have independent steering it's just that I left the tie rod off because it's just a little skinny piece of plastic that I didn't want to break

I'm probably going to stick my Tiger tank on it so couple of them are going to be flat. That is a good idea though. Now I wonder if I could heat those rubber tires up in such a way and apply weight or just push the axle down with your hand like it weighs a lot and maybe the tire will stay like that?? Interesting. Has anyone tried that? Kind of like on a dragster. After he does the burnout and he's waiting for the green? He hits the gas. How would you get tires to look like that? Maybe if you were a really great painter you could paint the tire to make it look like that? I don't know. Something to think about.

You can also carefully heat the bottom ~15 degree angle of the tire (the same part you would be sanding) with a candle and mash a flat spot into them.
This (IMO) is a little better since there's a slight outward bulge where it touches the "ground".
I'd say do not try this on 1/72, for 1/48 it depends on subject matter since some tires are too small/thin. But for 1/35 or 1/32 go for it!
All right got some more stuff on the cab and I'll be building the Hoist and winch assembly. I don't know. I'm mad at myself I didn't watch a video or anything on how to do that photo etch stuff or whatever the heck is in brass. First time dealing with it and I screwed it up. I should have watched a YouTube video or something. Live and learn. I'll fix it, Maybe. That's the diesel exhaust.
