Airfix 1:72 RNLI Shannon Class Lifeboat Starter Set - GROUP BUILD

My kit arrived today. Looks like we have some plastic bits, two brushes (sizes 4 & 0). A tube of glue, six small pots of paint (white, black, blue, orange, and two shades of gray), instructions, and water slide decals. This will be an adventure.

The instructions look really nice!
Should be quite the challenge.

I've never built anything in completely dark, with one hand tied behind my back, on the second Tuesday of next week on October 34th.
There's a first for everything, I guess. Lol
 
I'll be interested to see where you guys go with this GB - especially using only the stuff in the box.

My son goes to a school with an RNLI lifeboat station next door to it - they have a Shannon Class boat there, it's a great looking bit of kit. They certainly have fun launching it!

I would if it weren't for the OOB rule - which I totally get and I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys cope with just what's in the box. If I build one, I want to get the extra decal set Airfix sells and build the our Local lifeboat from Llandudno '13-18 - the William F Yates', as I see it every day taking my son to school.

I will probably get another kit just to see how much it would differ if I had a free hand to build it. Pantherman

Just random suggestions until we find something to have a go at that we all like.

Some builds are from childhood memories, others are because the kit is said to be absolutely rubbish, it could literally be anything. Pantherman
