I have a clear workbench for 2025 and this will be the first build for the new year. The Academy kit is very clean and looks to be a great build. I will also be using the Pontos Models advanced photoetch set as well as the Eduard sets.

The Eduard sets seem to have the better hatches and doors, as well as being a backup in the all to familiar case of flying same parts into the carpet sea. I hope to include as much progress photos and updates as the project progresses.

This will be my return to a warship model since my last build about five years ago of the USS Mobile Bay modeled during a VERTREP in high seas. Wish me luck...

Would anyone be interested in a group build? Either Indianapolis or any other WWII Cruiser? Just let me know, doesn't have to start right away.

I have 1/350 hasagawa nagato with a few extras and the new tool tamiya yamoto with extras also trumpeter 1/200 missouri with lots of extras, not sure I'm ready to take that on just yet though.

I have been eyeing that 1/200 Missouri for a while. I've seen a couple build ups of it and it's a stunner! I'm not sure the wife will want me looking for a place to put that monster...lol.

I am keeping my options open for the 1/350 Veryfire Yamato though. If you'd like to do a build with the Nagato or Yamato, that would be awesome, but I get it if not. Battleships are quite a bit more of a build vs a cruiser.
