Hello fellow glue sniffers
Fresh off the bench is this presentation car from 1998...Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard won enough races to get McLaren their first Constructors trophy in 7 years. The racing livery was a bit over my head (lots of gun metal, black, and white, and red and fades and,...just too much...
So when I came across this photo, I thought YES
This is what McLaren came out with before the season started as their Presentation car...
I used CraftSmart paints from Micheals mixed in afew drops of grey into the bright orange, thinned it, added some Liquitex flow-aid and shot it through the airbrush...Cleared with Pledge (Future) through the A/B as well.
I had acquired the decals from an unknown source first and then searched for the kit..kinda backasswards I know...
It was a fun build and I didn't add much to it, a couple wires and an additional wing element Tamiya left out
All comments, critiques and questions always welcome.
