Tamiya 1:20 McLaren MP 4/13

Hello fellow glue sniffers
Fresh off the bench is this presentation car from 1998...Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard won enough races to get McLaren their first Constructors trophy in 7 years. The racing livery was a bit over my head (lots of gun metal, black, and white, and red and fades and,...just too much...

So when I came across this photo, I thought YES

This is what McLaren came out with before the season started as their Presentation car...
I used CraftSmart paints from Micheals mixed in afew drops of grey into the bright orange, thinned it, added some Liquitex flow-aid and shot it through the airbrush...Cleared with Pledge (Future) through the A/B as well.












I had acquired the decals from an unknown source first and then searched for the kit..kinda backasswards I know...
It was a fun build and I didn't add much to it, a couple wires and an additional wing element Tamiya left out
All comments, critiques and questions always welcome.

White Balance , please

Is Imgur still working for you ?
I started uploading directly to SMA last year since for whatever reason I can no longer add images to Imgur or even create new links to existing images on there .
It's free so I can't really complain .
Fortunately the existing links still stand . Hope it's not going to be another PhotoBucket apocalypse . ( they are STILL asking if I want to keep my account -- been over 3 years of it )

Imgur is still working for me, but I only have 732 images in there,...might kack out on me at 1000 who knows...I'm working on a Chrome book (don't get one) and the process of moving pictures through their editor and then to my drive and then blah blah blah holy crap
