Sorry for the lack of updates. Between getting sick, then a lot of extra work I'm doing on a house for a relative (attached garage, below ground level...and it's leaky!) I just haven't had much time to do anything at all. I'll be back at it shortly.

I've been using Quick Shine. It works pretty well, it's super cheap, and there will probably still be half a bottle left when I die. Picked up a 64 oz bottle at wally world for $16 and change.

I'm not really going hog wild with details and such on this, but I did make a little bit more progress on it today.

Well, as much as I feel like I've been working at a snails pace, she is coming along. I feel like I still have a very long way to go. But here's a few WIP shots.

Now that I'm at least partially happy with the paint, here's a teaser or two. I still have a lot of details to tend to, but it's coming along.

This was the Kola Peninsula paint scheme that was on the VFC-12 Hornets from 1997 to 2001; I wasn't there after 2001, so I don't know when it changed. If anyone's looking to build one. I will be, hopefully relatively soon.

I minimized the gaps there with a woodworking clamp. There's no vertical gap anymore but there is a horizontal "step", and I think I'm just going to live with it. I haven't posted any updates, because so far I'm dissatisfied with how my paint is turning out.

I think that came out beautiful. My $0.02; the "rough" around the sides adds to the ruggedness of the "terrain" and "circumstances".

Looks like that's in a wonderful place to try doing bodywork. What did you do to minimize the problem? The completed kit looks fantastic, by the way.
