1/16 Panzer IV

Thanks for positive feedback guys....really appreciate it.
I got the interior pretty much completed, so I started painting some of the exterior details. I got a paint resupply order scheduled to be delivered on Monday. Then I can start to get some color on it. I've got to make a decision on the camo scheme soon, this one is the current front runner. After that then paint and install the schurzen.
Thanks for looking everybody...... 17348245174517402756098631609827.jpg

I know it's intended as a compliment, but "museum quality" for an AFV if taken literally usually means either "painted in the wrong colours" or "in dire need of maintenance to keep it from rusting to pieces" :(
You are correct, but I'm equally sure that is not how it was intended.

Having fun with my new airbrush, it took trying a couple different paint lines before I finally got to a point where I think I can use it with some success.
I'm trying to do some pre shading here on the base color before doing the camo scheme.
This is the first model I am airbrushing, everything before this was hand painted...

I got alot to learn still, but I'm having fun 17350726677805542431318980462672.jpg

I gotten enough done that I think it's time for another update.
The camo is done, some weathering also. I'm having to fight the urge to weather away, I trying for a somewhat subtle look. Maybe I'll tie one hand behind my back. :)
I have most of the tools and accessories mounted, still have some more to do....gerry can, more track links, a couple of helmets, and a MP40.
Currently working on the brackets that hold the schurzen plates in place.
Thanks for looking guys.17363753165036378055204680982790.jpg17363752689942847634542598466162.jpg17363751962525136687059732666786.jpg

Awesome!
...and of course, "how the heck did he do that?" "and that?" "And THAT?"

Finally got this project finished, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
All in all this is a good kit from Trumpeter. I had some fitment issues, but with over 2500 parts that should be expected, and they were probably my fault.
My only regret was to glue shut both sets of hatches on the side of the turret. I should have fixed one set in the open position to see more of the interior, oh well.17383514086224568889706795386396.jpg17383515811412940001922050775220.jpg
