1/16 Stug III Ausf.G

I got to give a thumbs up to Das Werk for the tracks on this kit. Yes, the assembly was tedious and time consuming, but it wasn't a pain in the a$$ like I was expecting. I just put on some Black Sabbath. (original Sabbath with Ozzy, of course, because Sabbath sucks without Ozzy and Ozzy sucks without Sabbath. ) grabbed a beer and had at it.
I had them assembled in a few hours. I took another two days to get them painted, weathered and mounted. 17191069449368749819301500208376.jpg17191070257732056306314912222077.jpg1719107083175686250989160980619.jpg
Final weathering will be completed when the upper hull is installed.

Definitely worth the effort, they look great. Pantherman

The upper hull is now attached, and I started some color modulation with the base color by hand. I think the camo scheme, weathering, and dirt layers will hide the brush marks just fine. Also started planning the stowage on the rear deck. 17193628753494742831826272043465.jpg

Thanks everyone......almost done with the assembly. The painting and weathering have become my favorite parts of a build these days.17194321432398921927143396333556.jpg
This book has been a great resource. There are more volumes but are hard to find.
