1/32 F-15E Strike Eagle Modelart

Ace: Thanks!

Mademodeller: Always love the videos mate, educational and inspirational. I had read about a method similar to which you presented, leaving some area of line behind and slowly sanding away at it to get a perfect fit. I do this with fuselage formers, and it is a great tip. (Great minds think alike :D) Now that I look at it, it seems more that my execution with the gluing of the formers caused much structural problems - while the cutting also had a major effect as well. I haven't crumpled it and set it on fire, something I was tempted to do. I do appreciate the idea of adding another layer of skin to suffice for the lack of millimeters of edging. However, I don't think I'm too cut out for that yet, as if I do add that extra layer, then I would have to apply an extra layer to each wing skin and I'm not sure how that would effect the finish. (I was contemplating this idea thoroughly). I was also thinking about the advice of asking Modelart for reprints of the specific pages I already used, (I think I used 3 pages and 1 page of formers), but I'm not sure if they'd be willing to send portions, especially since they're now located in Israel.

Ah well, I will just start over, as if I mess up again, at least I can have a consistent print quality from the electronic files.

Will keep you guys posted on how that will go - but first, I must migrate to a new computer, as this one is breathing its last breaths!

Glad to hear you have not given up!!! To make a mistake is human, and this is one thing I do show in my videos.
