Okay guys,
So since we are moving on Friday I had packed up the man cave and neatly packed my stash in boxes etc. Well since neither my wife nor I are working we were both going a little stir crazy in the house. We have already done all of the touristy things we wanted to do before leaving southern California so we have just been sitting at the house. So today I said "screw it, I'm opening a kit!" So here we go.

Here is the kit! I did a little review in the review section.

Here is my work bench...

Beginning of the platform.

The kit gives you the option to display this in transport or combat mode. This is a pic of how the stakes are stored when transporting. Great detail included in this kit.

Here are the hooks used to attach the gun to the trailer.

Here is the base. Yup, that is 19 little pieces of P.E. glued on there.

On to the next sub assembly.

Next it is on to the cannon itself. The kit came with a single, that is right, a single barrel. Meaning I did not have to glue two pieces of plastic together. I did do a little light seam sanding though. Def not bad at all!

Continued work on the gun itself. Check out the details!

And that leaves me in the middle of page eight! Only 22.5 more pages to go.

Thanks for checking this out.

Thanks Spud! I have to say I am very impressed with Bronco's mold. This is the first Bronco kit I've built and it is a dream. More progress pics a little later.

Alrighty,

So I only got through one more small section of the page. To make a long story short the moving company called and said that they are running two days behind. This isn't going to work, as my wife has 4 job interviews 3000 miles away starting next week. Needless to say we had to change plans, she is leaving first thing tomorrow morning. We had to book the hotels and pack the car etc. I am going to stay behind with the house and leave monday. Now I have 4 more days to work on this thing. Haha. I digress...

Here are some pics.

Thanks for reading my rant and following the build.

P.S. Never ever ever work with American Van Lines!

The kit looks neat. I look forward to seeing more progress. Great start.

I like how you were so quick to find the silver lining in that dark cloud of muddled up schedules. I've yet to tackle a Bronco kit, please keep us posted.

Hey guys, move is going well. I will keep you guys posted as soon as I get back to work.

Thanks guys,

Adam

Alright folks, I made the 3000 mile trip from CA to RI! My wife and I are beyond excited to be here. The only downside is I don't have a man cave for the foreseeable future. We are staying with my wife's parents for a while, until our house sells in CA. So, I am going to be working here and there wherever I can. Good thing my in laws are cool!

Anyways, I was able to get some more work done on this beast!

Here are some in progress pics.

I saw these as I was building and almost flipped out!
IMG_0133.jpg

Then I decided to look at the instructions. Bronco did a great job hiding these later on. No work required!
IMG_0134.jpg

So many parts! They have the handles separate.

Then comes one of the seats, this was 4 pieces!

I tried out some new stuff on the camera. Here are some more detail shots. I decided to go ahead and display this in transport mode so I went ahead and glued the base and the gun in their respective positions.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like the P.E. cause I'm totally over it! Haha. I have the left side done, now I'm moving onto the right. I'll post pictures when I get there.

Thanks again for following!

Thanks Spud! I just started work yesterday so my build time is going to slow down a little on this beast.

Hey Guys! So the moving truck finally showed up yesterday and I wasted no time getting a little space set up where I can work. The best part is that it is above the garage which is across the yard from the house. My wife can't just walk down the hall to bug me. ;D

I am still working out the details on the paint booth, I think I'm going to build that next week.

I did manage to get a little big of work done on the main gun today. As you can tell there is plenty of P.E. on this kit and it is taken a lot of time and patience to get done. Also, I decided that I like the look of the gun in transport mode. It will also be cool cuz I might be able to build a half track to attach it to.

As always, thanks for taking a look.

Alrighty folks,

I was able to get a little bit more done and I couldn't resist moving a little forward in the directions and started work on the trailers. Good thing to because I figured out that since I am going to display this in transport mode I am going to need to attach the trailers before painting the base. I didn't get a lot done on the trailer but I did dry fit everything and it sure does look pretty sweet!

Alrighty folks, I have another update for you. (I hope you guys aren't getting tired of seeing my progress every night. I have a feeling I'm just as addicted to posting about my builds as I am actually building them. ::) )

I started the night buy adding the inner wheel drum, the level of detail in here is pretty wild, they included the detail for the drum breaks!!! What I didn't realize at the time that I glued these on was that I put it them on backwards. Good thing I noticed tonight and not tomorrow morning.
