1/35 SAS Land Rover "Pink Panther"

I figure I'll just keep the chassis hellgrün (light green).
Believe it or not the gear box gave me a little trouble.

I'm a little behind because the sleeping pills (tramadol) are kicking my butt. I'm sleeping too much. And since I'm returning to work next weekend I cannot over sleep.
I'm feeling better now.

Pantherman how are you feeling? I really hope you heal quickly.

Very nice.
Yes it is definitely a love/hate with PE.
I don't own a PE tool for bending so I just use my different tweezers.
Well those little devil's caused me no end of problems so I hope it's going to be worth the effort. Pantherman

I know that you will never see them but those injection pin marks on mine were driving me nuts so I filled and sanded them all off and resprayed the lot. Peace has returned. Pantherman

That is what is slowing me down. I have to deal with the heavy pin marks and I have really big seam lines on most of my parts that I am cleaning up as much as I can. I did finish painting the frame though.

Chassis redone and I have added the front although not glued in place yet until I have done some touching in as it's easier to paint in smaller sections. Pantherman

On the front differential I am having issues getting the hubs on far enough for the tie rod to reach both sides.

A little more progress made. Now working on the rear body and messing around with some more PE. Pantherman

I don't know if yall ran into a problem with the leaf springs and the shock.
Mine just wasn't fitting and set too high. So I had to cut off the head of the shock absorber indicated in blue.

I'll let you know how I come out when I get there. As for the front differential, the problem was me not understanding the instructions. First pic is how the hub is supposed to be, second is how I was trying to fit it. Makes a bit of a difference...lol

Looks like I'll be using masking tape. Or maybe brush painting the chassis. I just didn't think to paint it before assembly.
However, I read somewhere that Silly Putty would work for masking.
