This is the model that side tracked me from the VW Rat. 1/6 Ford 427 SOHC by Revell.

Almost done with it. Was a decent kit. Some was screw together other was glue. Comes pre-painted but of course I couldn't leave well enough alone. Had decent detail. A few things where way off like the dip stick which I scratch built my own but still not happy with the size, might redo it. I used the carb linkage from the kit but thinking about scratch building a working linkage. The thing I am working on now is the plug wires. The ones that came with the kit look terrible. So I am making new ones. Have the coil wire done.

That's what I'M talking about!!!! This is the kind of detail that I wish I could get on all my models, but scale has a lot to do with what you can, and what you can't get away with.

Thank you all for the comments. Scale does make a big difference. Same goes for sculpting. Sculpting a Halloween mask is WAY easier then trying to sculpt 1/25 Scale figure.

that's really cool - first time I've seen an engine modelled complete and on it's own. :)

Thanks again everyone. Looking to get another one of these motor kits. Wonder if they make a flat head... hmmm google here I come. ;D ;D
