'64 Honda S600 - Tamiya

I'm not loving the large gap in the hood. I know it could be modified but I'm not the one. I might try to get fancy with the engine bay, we'll see.

Rookie mistake. I neglected to re-prime after sanding down a drip.

The wash was a wash.

Be careful of Hasagawa Mirror Finish tape. Way stickier than BMF.

Isn't she adorable?

• White can be a tough color to work with.
• This kit is tiny.
• Swapped out for a 3D printed steering wheel.
• I chose not to use any panel liner. Doors and boot could use more definition.
• Used the kit chrome. Tamiya X-11 on the wind screen, Hasagawa tape on the body. They blend ok.
• A need a better clear orange paint.
• I love the metal badges. They're so delicate. They are adhesive backed.
• Nothing added to the engine this time.

It might look a bit out of place with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, since they only made one film "Charade".
And that was set in the winter, 1960s France, and featured mostly French marque sedans.
The s600 Cabriolet has appeared mainly in Japanese films of the sixties and none with Cary Grant.
But not that I'm nit picking.

The model and your build is exquisite.
About as realistic as you could make it, in my opinion.
Nice job.

I saw a builder on youtube who uses Red and Orange Sharpie markers to colour chrome taillight and marker lenses.
And the effect looked very realistic to me.
