Same here. I did use a white primer on the orange sections and gray primer on the rest. Still will take a couple coats of orange. I also thinned it down some.

I've never sprayed with gloss enamels to get that shine. I usually spray my flat color then spray a gloss and/or pledge.
Have yall used a gloss in your airbrush?

After 14 coats of orange i think it is somewhat presentable.
Initially I had the orange too thin so I thickened it up some, which seemed to help in the coverage
