Airfix 1:72 RNLI Shannon Class Lifeboat Starter Set - GROUP BUILD

I'll be interested to see where you guys go with this GB - especially using only the stuff in the box.

My son goes to a school with an RNLI lifeboat station next door to it - they have a Shannon Class boat there, it's a great looking bit of kit. They certainly have fun launching it!

I love how you guys do GB. On the old site we just left had to have 10 people join before it was approved to go and a long out start date by then I was not interested in it and had a ton of stupid rules. Had to make a "GB Chat Thread " and if it got like you guys are doing joking and cutting up we got slapped on the hand and we're told by the mods keep on topic.

This is how we did it on the old Military Model site. Thanks for the memories of the good times building in a GB.

The rules are near the start of the thread although when we say rules......... well guidelines really, sometimes we waver a little bit but generally we do try to stick to them. Pantherman

With those guidelines in place it kind of sucks the fun out of a GB.
We usually have an idea or two, pick a date, then launch the build, which is always open to others.

I think this is a great challenge to build strictly OOB and I'm looking forward to it.
I agree this is not our standard GB but it about the community doing something together.

I really appreciate the invite but I'm going to sit this one out. I'm still Shell Shocked a little from what went down over on the other site and I really don't have any interest to build anything right now. If you have another GB I wouldn't mine joining in. But I can sit on the sidelines and change your knife blades if need. Lol. Thanks guys.
