And so it Begins…My First Build (completed)

If you're waiting for the P-47, what will this one be when finished
I'm going to do the Corsair just like the box with simple weathering and work on basic building/painting skills. The P-47, being a similar kit, I will try applying some of the lessons learned and maybe experiment with chipping.

Looks good and soon you will be ordering many many more models. Before you know it you will be trying to figure out where to keep your stash. All the Tamiya p-47 kits are great to build. In fact I've not found a Tamiya kit to complain about, even the older cheaper kits are still good kits to build. Their new releases are pricey but from what I hear top notch. Enjoy your build, look forward to seeing it completed.

Ah... Using the old Sunscreen weathering technique. VVVvvveeeerrrryyy interesting.

Finally completed my first build. I learned a lot! View attachment 117998

View attachment 117997 that's your first build? I'm calling bullshit. That doesn't look anything like anyone's first model. You're supposed to have glue fingerprints all over the canopy and incorrect fitting parts. Some decals should be upside down and that's way too nice of a paint job. For your first plane that's a superb effort. Excellent job. FNG

Thanks! But being 59, and having spent a lifetime building RC models, I've been around a bit
