Nice bit of custom work on the air intakes.

"intakes"... Right... Sorry, in French we called it "entrée d'air", my mistake was to translate it "air entry". Thanks for the note ! :D

Thanks guys... It's near completion, since I glued a lot of tricky parts. The nose was dry brush with a brighter green, like in the illustration, and I think it will be done for tomorrow. :)

Just scored this same model off ebay for around $25 and I own the 1/1000 Arcadia as well. I have just picked up the new creator works Arcadia 1/1500 kit afew weeks ago as well.. It is very detailed and I got it under $50. Lover you work here very impressed on your coloring of the ship.. I stared work my 1/1000 scale Arcadia some time ago ,but I had to stop as I had to move and never got back to it ,but now we're in a new place have room to work on all adn will be looking at you work for some pointers.. I have few question for glues as i kind of remember that some of the Japanese models are not always like some of the stander glues. As for Paints I most like will stay with the suggested ones.. but I looking my tools I think I am going to need to get a new air brush .. Please keep this going and show the final build . This is looking great and I like the mods you done..

Thanks CCorsair :)

You can use the regular model kit glue even though I use two kind of modeler glue : the Revell, with a metallic applicator, and the Tamiya Thin Cement.

The color paint is just what I got on hand, the Citadel colors are easier to buy and find nowadays. Plus, water don't cost much, White Spirit, in the other hand, to have the right solvent for Enamel paints, cost almost 4 euros per Liter.
Note, also, that I can work faster with acrylics. :)

Budies ! I forgot to share with you the result I show at MIGENNES COLLECTOR 45 days ago...

Here are the pictures. It's not completely done, some details are missing (didn't want to loose anything during my journey), the lower canons are not glued. But so far, so good...

Thanks you all :)

You're welcome CCorsair.
SOme friends of mine said that this one was more accurate than the big one (1/1000), the problems are there too even bigger. The new one, from Hasegawa, is a piece of art. The parts are molded in color and you can light it easily with clear parts for the cabin and engines.

Let's see if someone will do the Arcadia from the new CGI 3D movie (Autumn in Japan).

Have you heard about it ?

Wow, kewl....This is the first I have heard of this movie.
I will be waiting impatiently until it hits the U.S.
;D
I bought a copy of the live action/c.g. Space Battleship Yamato. I thought it was pretty okay. Not sure how I feel about what they did to the Gamalons, but it was nice to see live action movie of that show. :)

I agree, didn't like the ending of it at all.....

The actors, the screenplay, nothing was up to the level of what was Yamato.
You better have to look for the remake, on OAV's on Blu-ray (there's an english subtitles available) of Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199.
Same characters, same plot, same music and lyrics... YAMATO ASHIN !!!! :)
