I started working on the new Arma Hobby P-39Q. So far it is going together very well. It comes with ball bearings to weight the nose down. It even has little spots to hold them in place. I used CA glue (Bob Smith enterprises medium) to hold them. One popped out this morning. Is there a better glue I should use? IMG_5469.jpeg

2-part epoxy glue, maybe, or even a little bit of 2-part epoxy putty, eg, Aves, Miliput, etc. I think those would give you a stronger bond. Of course, once everything is closed up, it might be sufficient as is, especially if the parts fit tightly to the weights.

And then I stepped on the canopy for the Q.
Trying to decide if I want to go to the effort of getting a new canopy for the Q or not.

I do have a different variant of the same kit, one which is supposed to have some fixes to problems with the first kit. I think I will build up the N and then decided which to complete. I was in happy with a couple of fit issues on the Q

After trying to get re-engaged in model building in general and this kit in particular, I realized I was not ready or interested. I tried to put the doors on and the fit was not great. So I threw both kits in the trash can. Once again doubting if this is the hobby for me.

Don't throw in the towel. I bought this kit then watched a YouTube video on the build. I decided right away not to build this kit.
I built a Tamiya kit instead. They never disappoint. I did build the Hasegawa P-39 some time back.
A very pleasant build… zero filler! But you do have to provide your own nose weights.
