Avro Lancaster B MK III

Looks good Chris. What did you use to mask with? When I did my 1:144 Lancaster I used frisket.

BTW the LHS has this kit in stock and I'm so tempted ::) ;D

Thanks Anthony :) ..Yip ,the Lanc did have a black underside ,so did the Halifax ,wellington and a few others ,they did fly day missions too when required ;)

Thanks Jason ,the masking was just the same as the Spit ,paper masks ,fix the masks on with tiny spots of blu tac just enough to keep the paper slightly off the model , this means the edge of the camo has a slight blur to it ..which is how it should be ,looks like a sharp edge from a distance but up close you can see the softness :)

Chris.

Love the camo work Mr. S!!! Always good times watching you build the wingy-things!!! One of these days my friend, I will build and FINISH one ya know!! :p Keep them fires going!!!

Looks sweet mate, I recently got the Tamiya 1/48 version from a supposed best friend for my 40th birthdyay. Didint know weather to laugh or cry...

I've relegated to under the bed for now, need to hone my skills a bit more before I tackle it, the the thing is an abslolute behemoth.

I got even more scared when I saw this from one of the guys over at Helmo..

Rookie ! if you keep looking at stuff like that you will go Blind !

one step at the time !!! maybe one day you will find your Calling ! and go nuts as this guy did...

Beautiful work I might add ! but way..... out of my league ! man... that was almost too much !!! LOL

Later !

and Nice Lanc. Chris. keep up the good work !

Thanks for the interest fellas :)

Jason ,yes its still grumbling along in the background ,I put it aside for a week or two because of the weather here ,its done nothing but rain :( ,but its warm too so the air is really moist and I want to do more airbrushing at the Lanc . Should have an update this weekend tho' ,the weather started to improve yesterday :)

Chris.

Cool Chris, I'd just thought I would check. I forget how much humidity and poor weather can effect things like painting for others.
