I've got this kit and Snowman's rig just waiting for me to get to them. Great thread!

That's a great shine on the bodywork. The decals are a bit tricky where they curve around the windows and wheels.

I decided to do the decals before I fit the windshield as I wanted to get a couple coats of gloss over the bodywork before I do the final assembly.

Should have it all ready for spraying later this week and intend to finish at the weekend hopefully. Pantherman

Excellent job with this. The pinstriping looks great. Body paint turned out very nice. Did you have trouble with getting the hood to accept a gloss finish? I had a helluva time with mine.

Thanks Tim, all the bodywork has had 4 coats of gloss black with 3 coats of gloss varnish.

I still can't find a high gloss clear varnish I'm happy with yet. But the fun is trying different one's to finally find my "go to" varnish. PM

Just realised that I didn't clean the inside of the clear parts so I will take it apart tomorrow and sort that. Pantherman

All done. Not as shiny as I wanted and a few water marks that I didn't notice until it was varnished. Pantherman

Auto gloss finish is the hardest to finish IMHO. If my TA looks as good as yours Pantherman, I'll be content.
