... just started using this week, not for canopies mind you, but seems to come away pretty clean.silly putty
I noticed that too, so I tried not to stretch as I was placing it, kinda compress it so it has nowhere to go. Don't know if you could do that with a canopy.by relaxing.
Learned something new today. Thanks! And I do have a confession. When I was spraying primer on the canopies I didn't like how the Silly Putty would kind of pull away by relaxing. While I was spraying I thought to myself a piece of tape would have been a hell of a lot better on the inside of the canopy which is what I usually do
I thought about brushing on chipping fluid here and there but looking at pictures of late War planes they are messed up. Well I figure if I'm going to take the time to post pictures you might as well make it interesting for the new guys out there soaking up informationPretty gutsy attack!
I paint with a brush... so I always thought the chipping fluid was applied to specific areas; when I tried that, I couldn't remember all the spots!
By airbrushing it everywhere, that somewhat simplifies the process I guess. I imagine you can always go back in with airbrush or drybrush if you want to back out a little, or have flakes of paint still adhering inside wider chipped areas.
Thanks for walking us through your exploration!
I'd say thats working pretty good. Okay good I'm going to gloss it in.
