Looking at real aircraft I see a reinforced glass plate sometimes different colors from the rest of the canopy. I have a model air transparent blue to recreate that effect, would you shoot that on the underside so it shows through or would spray on the outside for the effect?

Thank you all, that's what I was thinking, I was about to put down the canopy before priming and wanted to cement the front portion of the canopy but didn't want to miss that step with the tint

May I recommend (suggest) to dip the canopy in Future Floor Wax and let dry before tinting for a couple of reasons. It will protect the clear plastic and if something goes wrong you can strip it off and start over.
