Can anyone ID this Hornet?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I recently moved. In the process, several of the model aircraft I've made were damaged.

Most are WWI era biplanes, but I've made other aircraft as well, and one of those needing repair is this 1/48 F/A-18, which I made in Canadian markings.

This was one of the first models I made (which is why it looks so amateurish, not that I'm a whole lot better now). Indeed, it was made long enough ago (~15 years) that I no longer remember the manufacturer of the kit.

At the time, I probably would have used one of the less expensive kits available (e.g. Revell), but I don't know that for sure.

Does anyone recognize this particular set of decals?

It's not one of the Canadian ones in that last link I posted ?
Why are you attempting to pin down the exact kit ?

Well , Scalemates should be showing every kit manufactured of that aircraft -- so it's one of those .

I just found it - it's an old ESCI kit.
