Yeah, that's a new project, a new idea with new concepts... :D

Man from Atlantis, with Patrick Duffy, don't you remember ?

I liked the TV show very much, even though I really don't know why now. And I remember the Cetacean, the 4 spheres Submarine.

Here are the parts I'll use, some plastic recipient that you need to glue to obtain a sphere.

The Submarine as it was show in the TV show.

Here is the filming model, in a VERY bad shape (missing some important parts like the engine).

Set shot

Here we go...

I don't think I'll do it exactly as it is shown in the show, too boring and as you can see with the filming model, it lacks a lot of details anyway. So, I'll do it as I feel it, the original Cetacean will be here as a guide... Wish me luck !

"Dating yourself"... ? Don't know this sentence. :D

I watched this show, but I was young and can't remember much about it. I remember Duffy's webbed fingers and that he swam like a porpoise! The Cetacean looks like an interesting build and I concur with your decision to add more detail. There are ton's of p.e. sets for detailing submarines and ships out there! I look forward to seeing your progress.

Very interesting, though I'm not familiar with the show. Really like your scratchbuilds, YOULI.

I remember that show, from the 70's if I recall correctly. Forgot all about that Sub, but seeing this brings back memories.....

Interesting project, will be watching!

Thanks everyone. Yeah, it's from 1977... Seen it in France one year later.

Actually I managed to swim exactly like him, and learned my friends at school to do the same. The professor was delighted since we were anger to learn more and more, and practiced a lot.

I will use parts from various origin, QUeen Mary 2, Heller boats, toys... The scale is about 1/72, so it should be easier to do than a 1/400 scale submarine.
The kiosk will be made with one of the cheminee of the Queen Mary II, perfect shape. The "bridge" made out from one of the bridge of the same paquebot, structures with plastic rodes found in the wild (serious !).
Tank parts obviously, we, kitbashers, use that kind of things a lot... :D
And small lamps, a LED found for 1 euro at the market place. And metallic circles that are "oeillets", don't know the english name of it, sorry...

That will wait some weeks, but that will be done one way or another :D
