Morning all like some of you im sure, I think a good job but lack the motivation to get up to the bench ,as promised jumped in both feet first ,I used one of the AK products the scratches one I think? can't remember whether I slaped it on with a brush or sprayed it on no hang on sprayed, I love the mr hobby aqueous paints but they do dry with a slight sheen wich made the chipping fluid pool rather heavily so as it dried as I recall I used a brush to sort of sort the problem(yeh I know you won't change me) I then masked up using science putty wich I got over the net from the science museum shop miles cheaper than the AK stuff ,any way airbrushing white paint is one of my pet hates so that was bit of a disaster but still removed the putty and attempted the chipping as BoB Ross says we only have happy mistakes so it looks like a field job bucket and brush straight over dirt and oil ,oh and gave it a flat coat(VM)
Have started to add some washes in the pic above
And have started to ad a bit of grime i dont like using mud and pigments much on 72nd stuff as its very hard to make it look in scale their great at 35th scale but not for me at 72nd, the same goes with tracks I very rarely dry brush links with a metal shade ie something silver as personally I think it looks way over the top I do some times rub a pencil here and there wich only shows as a glint when caught by the light. Still now you've been bored to death there's still a lot to do so I'll crack on and will report in further down the line. Dave
