Worked at the bench this weekend to try to get the seamless intake to work:




Areas that need to be removed:

This area has to be removed to make room for the front of the engine area:






And some more hackin'. This area of the main gear bay was removed to make way for the Aires wheel bays:



I know what your thinking.Don't get scared now...it will all fit!

Aires cockpit/intake test fitting.All is well so far,now it's just a matter of getting it ALL to fit...

No, Jim I didn't. :-\ I'm not a member of IPMS....yet.I thought about joining this past weekend at a local contest..but got distracted by the vendors!

Wicked! Looks like a ton of work but that is going to besotted cool when it's done.

Some detail added to exhaust area:



Plastruct plastic rod.I began forming these ribs by inserting each one in boiling water till it softened a bit.I then pulled it out and wrapped around an appropriate sized dowel,holding it until it cooled.



In hindsight I should have used plastic rod that was the next size smaller.Oh,well.

LOL..Thank you Chris. I didn't realize it has already been a year.Due to life,my builds take way longer than they should.It doesn't help when I try to stuff the kit full of resin...
