The Australian Western Star is a great build, but a whole load of chrome to strip and repaint, if you go that route.Haven't decided yet, one of these threeView attachment 128679
I have the ausi truck on my wishlist. PanthermanHaven't decided yet, one of these threeView attachment 128679
I don't even have room for this one. LolAndy, with about six or seven trailers you could make it an Aussie road train.
Are you up for a six foot long model?
Mine should be parking up here on Saturday. PanthermanThis here's Rubber Ducky and we are looking for a convoy.
Our group build this time is diesel tractor trucks.
The start time is still undecided for the moment. So, there is plenty of time to join the build.
The attached is the truck I bought for the GB.

At the time I did price up (and size up!) adding some trailers and connecting dollies but both stacked up so quickly that I decided to just build the tractor unit.Andy, with about six or seven trailers you could make it an Aussie road train.

Here's the one I am going to build. I bought it from Ollie's about 3 years ago when I working for them.
Thanks, I've been looking for a time to build it. Why not now with others building the same type of model .I like it!
Just had a look through the kit, loads of flash and loads of misaligned mould marks. Think I'm going to need more blades and sanding sticks. PanthermanThis here's Rubber Ducky and we are looking for a convoy.

Yes. Several seam lines. A lot of scraping and sanding. But it's typical for Revell.Did you notice the mould lines seem offset on alot of the parts? Pantherman
Well, of course you may join. As we always say; the more the merrier.Well being a 4 generation trucker and been driving legally for 34 years now I've been around Semis of all kinds of my Dads all my life and owned my own 1979 International 4070B Transtar with the Eagle package and several antique show trucks so I just can't resist to join if you guys will have me. If I'm approved I'll try to find something before the start date. I have well over 75 1/25 scale truck kits to choose from. Thanks
Here's my 1979 International Transtar Eagle

I drove OTR for two years (2011-2012). I drove an International ProStar. I tallied 247,000 miles in those two years. It ruined my relationship and I moved back to California and drove bottom dumps for a couple more years. I now have a desk job (but still have my Class A license).Well being a 4 generation trucker and been driving legally for 34 years now I've been around Semis of all kinds of my Dads all my life and owned my own 1979 International 4070B Transtar with the Eagle package and several antique show trucks so I just can't resist to join if you guys will have me. Thanks. I wasn't married but in a long term relationship (10+ yrs). I think that relationship had already run it's course. I'm better off now having been married for eight years to an amazing woman that puts up with my hobbies.I used to love seeing those twin bottom dumps when I went to California in the early 1990s and as a kid in the 70s-80s with Dad. Sorry about your marriage. I got all the OTR out of my system married a true Truckers Wife she's still with me after 27 years of marriage came off the road in 1998 drove for a St Louis base company hauling Sea Cans running the Midwest for 25 years semi retired now I drive this Peterbilt 330 Dump Truck local in my hometown 7am 5pm daily. Thank for the complement on my old Transtar. View attachment 128996
I'll follow Lee.Well here's mine. It's the AMT Chevy Titan 90. This particular Chevy Titan 90 real truck and model was made from 1976-78 before they changed to the Wide Grille in 1979. I will be a making a single axle out of it and I hope to get the AMT Haulaway Trailer to pull behind it. Some day when I get all my 1/25 Corvette models done they will go on the trailer. I have a idea of a paint scheme but not sure yet. Hope you follow along. View attachment 129006View attachment 129007
Go for it, Blake. It doesn't have to be a traditional truck, and your planned kit fits the bill.Hmmm, all these kit look like lots of fun and I am so tempted, but have no traditional trucking kits.
Not a good time for me budget wise right now to be buying new ones
Although, I do have this set sitting around and really my Memphis Belle is sadly sitting there with nothing to keep her supplied
Not sure if it counts?
