So..

I had bought a Winsor and Newton Series 7 Miniature Kolinsky Sable No. 2, I got it from jerrysartarama but it arrived with a horrible split point.

I called them, and they are shipping me a new one, but they told me to keep the defective one or donate it.

Do you guys know any good use for it? It is the best Kolinsky out there, I was tempted to use it as a dry brush, but the thought of it being a Kolinsky puts me down, it was super expensive as well.

Any suggestions guys?

It will most likely be too soft for drybrushing anything other than fine details, possibly the best use would be pigments or as a wash brush. ??

Wash.. that sounds good enough. Thanks TiM!

My brushes go through several stages of use - even down to no bristles left when they get the remnants of glue removed from the ferrule and filed/ sanded into sculpting tools! a round "cup" shape is very good for lots of things, like making weld lines for example. 8)

Wow. That is impressive. Any change you got pics? Would love to see them!
