Hi Guys

Just finished up a project which I thought I'd share, Dragons new Tiger with Zimmerit

This is a great kit even by Dragons standards, and went together really well. Painting was Vallejo acrylics, weathering was a mix of AK dust enamels and AK pigments, the rusty bits were Lifecolors rust & dust set

Nice finish. Especially the tracks. Never seen Panzer Gray zimmerit Tiger before. Was this in the color profiles?

No this colour wasn't in the profiles, i thought i'd have a bit of a play around with things!

Top work on this amazing looking Tiger. My favourite part is the rusting/paint chipping of the exhaust shrouds.

that's a mighty fine Tiggy mate, love the weathering, especially the spare tracks. And love the fire extinguisher next to the turret bin.

Cheers

Great job on this. The weathering looks really good, not too much, just enough. That's hard to do.

Thanks guys, I reckon I might enter this in the all open category.

I did this within the contest time frame as well, never even thought to enter it!

nice build weathering looks good i'm still not confident enough to do that on a model i'll end up throwing it in the bin. just started building armor so just straightforward builds for me at the minute.

Thanks again guys,

sticky one, you'll build up to the weathering. I know it is a bit of a leap of faith when you have just got used to getting the paint finish just right on the model! If you wanted to try the weathering out then I think the trick is to apply in layers so you can build up slowly and stop before you go too far.

The ak enamels and pigments are a good starting point which is what I used mainly on this build. They are quite pricey but you don't use too much on each build

Jump in and have a go, it's a lot of fun!
