Wow, those wingtip tanks look so big relative to the rest of the plane!

Added some aluminum variations to the panels. The lighting makes them look darker than they are.

Painted the anti-glare on the tip-tanks then proceeded to break one off during de-mask. Fun.

Not great decals but at least they aren't dissolving or tearing apart.

Ya know, I was never a fan of the USAF inter-war years. I do not mean 1918-1940. I mean 1946-1950.

I keep pulling that Monogram F8 outta the closet. The box is open but the bags are not. Raised panels in all....ouch. But that is not really one of the 100s.

My F-100 is a Trumpeter, the 101 is Revell (Germany), 102 is 'Model Master' (the old one), 104 is Kinetic, 105 is Hobby Boss, 106 does not exists as part of my stash at this time.

Finally got all the decals done. I hope to put the final clearcoat on this weekend, attach the canopy and then I'm done.

It is a fairly obscure subject, part of the allure. But one can see a lot of genetics in the design, probably most similar to the P-80, but I see lots of queues from future aircraft in her.

It was an all-weather day/night interceptor derived from the T-33. First one with an afterburner, hence the large back-end.
