Fluorescent color pre-shading

I am fairly new (started in 2020) to scale modeling, and even newer to airbrush techniques.
but I have never seen presiding like this. He uses fluorescent colors under the panel lines. I am having trouble seeing how much impact it has from the video. Has anyone else had success with this?

Honestly…. I think that's an overkill for pre shading. Too many flourescent colors is pretty unusual. Definitely not the norm for most hobbyists.

I prefer to do it the simple way (as does most hobbyists) - using black paint. At least you're getting it done a lot faster than using 5 different colors.
