Thanks fellas. She's coming along at a snail's pace....but it's moving.
I have painted some of the parts that needed to be installed in the fighting comp such as the gun, boxes and radio. They are still in the base color and need some weathering. I'll post pics when they are done.
The base color.
ok fellas lets start the little SBS. This is basically how I painted the interior of the fighting comp. After applying a lighter base color which I always do, I then mixed some oil filters of a darker Pgelb. This was applied a couple of times til I was happy with it. You can see the diff in the pics where I have done one of the recoil cylinder thingies.
Once everything received the filters, I then used AK dark wash. This was applied as pin washes and not an overall heavy wash. I applied more in some areas where I wanted to show shadow. With pin washes you can go heavy and remove or move the wash around for effects.
Next up came the chipping using Vallejo acrylics, followed then by some rusting using AK products. I would normally do some rusting with Lifecolor paints but I wanted to see what I could get with the AK stuff. The staining and streaking is hard to see in the pics, but they are there,
I have also added some weathering on the burnt area but will wait to do the barrel until I have decided on a camo scheme. Still have small items to do such as the radio and boxes.
Cheers
Rob
