Hello,
I've been building kits since sometime in the 1950's, with a hiatus until a room mate got me started again in college. I build slowly, mainly because I have other things that need doing, and a kit can sit on the bench for a month at a time or longer. I'm also a retired microscopist, and tend to put in too much tiny (thus invisible to the unaided eye) detail. I'm also a retired geologist and materials scientist, though my expertise is years out of date for some of the newer stuff.
