Thank you for this post. I've been struggling with some photoetch, which has stalled several of my railway projects. If I cannot get it right after this, I'm hanging up the hobby.

Oh noooo!

Best comment I found on the webs re. PE was, (to paraphrase) "...the guys designing these things on their big screens must never actually use them! Some PE sets have ridiculously small parts that are tinier than the smallest drop of glue you could apply, so don't hesitate to just use what you can, to best effect, and leave the rest on the sprue!"
The comment didn't make it easier, but sure made me feel better!
